Period Cabinets & Heirloom Woods
In addition to more mainstream cabinets, we have, over the past years, gone into period style cabinetry and finishes. Heirloom wood describes using recycled woods that are no longer normally available; such as wormy chestnut, long leaf pine, deep rich green poplar among others. This wood comes to us as salvaged flooring, barn siding, beams and logs from old log cabins. We then recycle the wood into cabinet grade materials.

Period Cabinetry
Whether you use the terms Shaker, early American, Mission style or arts and crafts, they can mean different things to different people. We have been asked to build a verity of customer interpretations of these styles. Typically an inset door or beaded inset door with wrought hinges and a hand cut dovetail drawer complements this classic look best.

Period Finishes
In finishes, along with our mainstream finish, we have been using Old Fashioned Milk Paint finishes on early American New England style cabinets. this has caught on and is very popular with those that want something unusually different. We also offer the popular look of glazed finishes which can be applied to either Old Fashioned Milk Paint or more contemporary finishes.
